At Hawthorne, students take classes based on what Track they choose – either Hero, Villain, Guardian, or Royal. Students may take whatever classes they want (for example, taking “Evil Identity” as a Royal), but they can only be in one Track. It would simply count for credit and points.
Students take classes at Hawthorne for 6 “years”, which is divided into 8 lessons, full of unique lesson content, homework assignments, essays, projects, tests, quizzes, midterms, and finals, all graded by real people.
Once a student has chosen their Track, they have options for academics. There are classes that they must take called Core Classes. These are academics that may not seem as enjoyable as some of the others but they are essential to their knowledge and to their graduation. Electives are courses that students may take for fun or to lessen their workload. Seminars are short, usually week long, courses that happen during breaks or during the year at random times that briefly talks about a subject in a light-hearted and enjoyable way.
